CEO of the Africa Green Revolution Agency and a prominent Rwandan agricultural scientist and policymaker. She served as Rwanda’s Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources from 2008 to 2014 and became President of the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) in 2014. Dr. Kalibata has also been the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy and held various leadership roles, including Deputy Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement at the University of Rwanda. She serves on the board of the International Fertilizer Development Center and the administrative center of Anand, Gujarat. Her work is focused on advancing agricultural policies and development in Africa.
